Zorats karer or as it is known with the other name Karahunj, is a mysterious monument which is located in Syunik region near the Sisian town. It is a complex of standing huge stones some of which have holes on them. The scientists are still arguing about the purpose and the type of the monument.Some think that it is an old cemetery-necropolis, the others think that it’s an old observatory. But one thing is for sure that it has its unique place in other structures like this in the world. It also has a unique power of energy which gathers many scientists, tourists and just people interested in it around him.
The nature here is dry typical to highlands, the fauna is not rich, there are poisonous snakes, rodent animals and small mammals.
